Windows 10 Tablet BIOS reset
Hallo Admins,
ich habe von der Verwandtschaft ein Intel Tablet von "one.de" bekommen (Typ und co steht leider nicht drauf). Beim Boot wird das BIOS Kennwort abgefragt, welches leider nicht bekannt ist. An dem Gerät steht leider keine Seriennummer oder Typennummern. Es soll wohl einen Notmodus geben, indem der Lautstärkeregler parallel zum Power-Button gedrückt wird. Ich habe alle möglichen Kombinationen versucht, leider ohne Erfolg.
Habt Ihr vielleicht eine Idee oder einen Lösungsansatz?

es ist halt nur ein kleiner "Intel" Schriftzug drauf. Was genau das für eine CPU ist kann ich dir leider nicht sagen. Aktuell haben die Tablets mit "Intel Atom x5-Z8350" im Angebot. Wie alt das Gerät ist und welche Hardware es hat kann ich nirgendwo einsehen. Ich hab nicht mal ne S/N, mit der ich arbeiten kann. Leider.

Das habe ich noch nicht erfragt. Ich versuche mal, Kontakt aufzunehmen und melde mich, wenn ich diesbezüglich neues habe. Eventuell hat jemand währenddessen eine andere Idee.

Versuch doch mal das Teil zu öffnen. Dann sollten Infos bzgl. Mainboard etc. bekannt werden.

ja gerade das versuche ich zu vermeiden, da ich mit nicht 100%ig sicher bin, ob ich das Gerät beim Öffnen nicht doch beschädige. Dann darf ich mit wieder anhören, dass ich "es kaputt gemacht habe" ...
Ich warte aktuell Auf Rückmeldung des Vertreibers und schaue mal, was er zu sagen hat.

Keinerlei Kaufunterlagen? Niemand in der Verwandschaft, die das Tablet ja vorher hatte, kennt das BIOS-Password? Das wird doch nicht einfach so nach Auspacken aus der Versandbox drauf gewesen sein.

Vielleicht hilft ja das hier, wenn das ein Intel Tablet (OEM?) ist.

Select Wipe Data/Wipe Cache, and then select Yes.
Power cycle the tablet by turning it off and then back on.
Note A password reset in Recovery mode erases all installed applications and any saved personal data.

You can reset the Admin password by performing a factory reset via Pin Hole.
Note A factory reset erases all teacher-loaded content.

Für alle die es interessiert: Ich habe Rückmeldung vom Support erhalten. Ein Reset des BIOS-Passwortes ist bei diesem Modell nicht möglich.
Stramme Leistung nach 1,5 Jahren. 😉
