Hyper-V Replica - Testfailover schlägt fehl

Moin Zusammen,

ich hab jetzt Hyper-V Replica eingerichtet. Repliziert wird auch alles fein.

Beides sind Server 2016 und die Gäste ebenfalls Server 2016.

Starte ich ein Testfailover kommt folgender Fehler:

Der Server ist ein Dell R510.


Das Problem tritt auch auf, wenn ich eine virtuelle Maschine auf dem Zielserver - dem Replikatserver erstelle und starte.


Server damit getestet: https://www.grc.com/securable.htm alles auf on.

Hat du denn mal explizit im Bios mal nachgesehen, ob die entsprechenden Punkte auch eingeschaltet sind ?

werde ich nochmal machen wenn ich vor Ort bin, aber sollte eigentlich, da bisher ein Linux mit VMs drauf lief und das wird das ja auch benötigen?!

dem ist nicht zwangsweise so.
Z.b. wenn ein 32Bit System verwendet.

also die Einstellungen waren alle korrekt, aber nach einiger Recherche zeigte sich, dass der Intel E5620 (Westmere) mit Hyper-V ein Problem hat und man ein Biosupdate benötigt, was es zum Glück für den R510 auch noch gab.

Im Anschluss ging dann alles wie gewünscht face-smile

Uuuuuhh, da klingelt es gerade bei mir im Hinterkopf, da ich letztens ein ähnliches Problem hatte, das aber vertagen mußte. War nur in einer Testumgebung, daher nicht so wichtig.

Hättest Du da evtl. einen Link zur Problembeschreibung?

Wo jemand schrieb man solle die Firmware updaten. Daraufhin habe ich ein Biosupdate durchgeführt und im Anschluss lief das ganze. Vorher gingen halt gar keine virtuellen Maschinen.

Und die Problembeschreibung siehste ja oben von mir face-smile

Die Anforderungen für Hyper-V lassen sich überigens auch über prüfen.

Und was genau hätte das gebracht?
Die Anforderungen werden grds. von dem System erfüllt. Da es aber ein Problem mit dem Westmere und Hyper-V gab musste ein Update her face-smile
